Research in this area focuses on the politics, economics, social and cultural factors in regional planning.
Examples of research that might be found under this heading include, what policy approaches lead to a vibrant public cultural environment; how are jobs, income, housing and school quality distributed around a region; and how can that distribution be changed?
Research may also involve social and cultural issues, their roots, how they influence affects policy decisions.
